Information we use and share
We use your name, email, company, project permissions and connection details to manage your account. We process questions, relevant conversation context, assessment inputs and results to answer requests and create reports. We also use information you send us to respond to enquiries.
When enabled, remembered topics and projects help personalize responses. Optional usage analytics records account identifiers, feature activity, tool calls, outcomes and timing—not conversation or report content. Authentication, processing, quota and security records help us operate the service.
Our service providers support AI processing, hosting, storage, email and analytics. Relevant questions and assessment inputs may be sent to AI providers, even when saved chat history is off. MCP scoring and verification do not upload raw data-room files or financial models. Slack and connected AI applications handle their own copies under their own policies. We may disclose information when legally required.
Unless separately agreed in writing, we do not sell submitted materials or use them to train models offered to other customers. Allowing usage analytics does not authorize training on private content.
Your choices and retention
Settings provides these controls:
- Privacy: Usage analytics and Remember interests are on by default. Turning analytics off stops future optional collection; essential operational records remain. Resetting interests or turning them off clears the saved interests.
- Chat history: Choose Don’t save, 90 days or Keep until deleted for Occam’s saved app and Slack chats. The default is 90 days, measured from each message’s date. Don’t save clears existing saved history after confirmation.
- My reports: View your reports, preview or download available PDFs, and delete personal reports individually or in bulk. Personal app reports remain until deleted. Supporting MCP assessment records, such as cost tables and scores, expire after 30 days from creation or can be deleted sooner; this does not delete the finished document in your AI application.
- Profile: Confirm account deletion by email code to block access and start background cleanup of personal data and connections.
Deleting a conversation does not delete a report. Personal-account deletion does not remove shared company or project records, which are managed under the organization’s agreement, or copies outside our control.
MCP usage analytics expires after 90 days. App analytics may remain for one year or longer under the analytics provider’s policy; account-deletion cleanup includes associated analytics. Temporary Slack processing text is cleared after processing or ignoring the request, with remaining text expiring within 24 hours.
Essential operational and deletion records support security, quota enforcement and safe recovery. They and separately stored encrypted recovery backups currently have no automatic expiry. Backup copies may remain after live personal data is deleted; deletion safeguards prevent old restores from reactivating deleted accounts.
Security and contact
We use access controls and authenticated connections to protect information. Our app uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in and preferences; infrastructure providers may process IP addresses and connection information for delivery and security. No system guarantees absolute security.
For access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy rights, email info@occam-edge.com. We may verify your identity or coordinate requests about organization-controlled records with that organization.
